Comfortably Numb

C
ome to me, come give me pain
Of dreams unfulfilled and things not gained
Make me relive this agony of a life
Find me a place where I can feel it
Over and again, clamp me so I cannot
Run away from it, bind me please
To unbearable and lasting pain
Alas, the senses have left me though
Bound to memories I may still be
Lilting pain and anguish I see
Yet it does not hit me at all, and

Nothing do I feel, do me a favor whoever is near
Unsheathe this cloak and shred it
My friend, I no more want to
Be comfortably numb
