Circle of Thoughts

"For oft when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood
They flash upon the inward eye
Which is the bliss of the solitude"

It's been ages since I last read these poignant lines from Wordsworth...dunno from where these lines just found a passage to my mind right now but that's how it is, right? Some chain of thought just randomly gets juxtaposed onto another and another ultimately leading to the coming to surface of some long forgotten memories from the deep bovines of the mess that our brain is...Heck, am getting all philosophical out here and that is the last thing that I want to become right now...U c coz this is a momentous occasion fellas...yes, after going through a meandering month and a half of mundane activities...am back to my soullie "Sepulchre".

Back to blogging and back to this absolutely wonderful world of ours....back to all you wonderful people and to all your amazing writings...hell, I missed it pretty badly. Life in the past month and a half was hectic and enjoyable in it's own way...it was fruitful too in it's own "life" sort of a way (if you know what I mean)...learnt some valuable lessons about life in the fast lane...made some great friends too who I hope will be forever and for always...yet there was always a void of incompleteness, a vacuum of losing touch with so many friends out in this world, a feeling of all my thoughts getting cramped within me as there was no place where I could let go, a frustration building up like a smoldering volcano as there was no one to rant to and of course an uneasy sense of uncomfortability as there were no pearls of widsom to soothe down the embattled nerves.....

Ok...ok...am getting all worked up out here, I guess that's enough of "Emotional Atyaachar" for anyone who still bothers to venture out here (hope is a good thing, though:D)

Anyways, so what has changed since I was last here...well, for starters the last digit of the date header has changed which means we are into a new year...Let me take this oppurtune moment to wish all my fellow beings of blogosphere a very happy and prosperous new year ahead.

Ok...and new year means resolutions though I have not fallen in that trap of breaking a promise to oneself as of yet...I don't have anything particular against resolutions, I mean it does help some people who are determined at heart to fulfill their promises yet it's just not my cup of tea or even coffee.

Come to look at it...hardly anything changes between 11:59 of 31st Dec and 00:01 of 1st Jan but it's just the psyche of humans as a race, that belief in the statement of "hope being the greatest of things and no great thing can ever die" makes us all look forward to a new beginning.

Looking back at the year bygone...if it was one thing it was a year of many firsts for me. Graduated out of the safe havens of college into the veiled threats of the corporate world...experienced the tune of life on which you essentially hv 2 dance...still learning the steps btw!!!

Also...2008 will always remain the year when I started working professionally. And while the job itself was far removed from my domain of knowledge and interest, it was fun to do. And what added manifolds to the fun were the amazing people that I had the fortune to meet there. I have left that job because I had taken it up just as a means of passing time whilst I waited for my call letter to get operational but these 3 months will always be remembered, rather fondly too.

2008 was also the year when I stumbled across a vibrant world inhabited by some amazing people...yes, I discovered blogosphere and the blogging bug had well and truly bitten me. 3 posts in the first 3 days of initiation and I was off to a flying start. Very much in love with blogging, even now I sometimes feel remorse for having discovered it so late but that's ok...as has been said "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery while today is a gift. Thus it is called the present. Enjoy it" so I fully plan to indulge in this love affair with all heart and soul.

I lost my grandfather in this year and that was the closest bereavement that I have had the unfortune to witness. There were some other firsts too, rather trivial and silly ones yet they all complete the canvas that 2008 was.

It was a year which has left memories and madness. Memories of that night in college when moist eyes and a heavy heart wished time to stop, when the normally cold and calculating brain had so desperately wanted to turn back time...memories of coffee and adda sessions at 4 in the morning in the office lawn...of meetings with some amazing people and some not so amazing ones too...of a slight flutter in that pumping beating organ in the chest only to quickly realise that it was just that..." a slight flutter"

Pieces of memory frozen in time which may just flash across the subconscious mind one fine day through some random chain of thought thereby bringing a smile, a tear.

"For oft when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood
They flash upon the inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude"

Now that's what I call a *circle of thoughts*
